Behzad Ranjbari | Award-winning & medalist experienced acoustician specialised in design consulting for architectural acoustics

Behzad Ranjbari is an acoustics consultant specialized in design consulting for architectural acoustics with special emphasis on Concert Hall Acoustics and Stage Acoustics of small and large auditoria for voice and music.

Behzad Ranjbari is the recipient of the Acoustical Society of America (ASA) 2015 Newman Medal for "excellence in the study of acoustics and in its application to architecture".

Behzad Ranjbari is the winner of The Acoustical Society of Sweden Award 2013 (Stockholm, Sweden).

In 2012, Behzad Ranjbari proposed two new acoustics metrics/parameters for the characterization of stage acoustics in concert halls, for ISO 3382 standard (Room Acoustics Standard) published first at the163rd meeting of the Acoustical Society of America, and later on in several journal and conference publications including the journal of POMA (Proceedings of Meetings on Acoustics; published by Acoustical Society of America (ASA) and the Svenska LjudBladet, published by The Acoustical Society of Sweden in 2014.

Behzad Ranjbari is the founder and managing director of The BRL for Acoustics (Gothenburg, Sweden), senior architectural acoustics consultant and project manager at ÅF-Infrastructure AB | Architecture and Design (Gothenburg, Sweden), and the founder and director of the CASPIM Center (Center for Acoustical Studies on the Performance of Iranian Music) — which currently runs in his spare time.

Behzad Ranjbari also has a parallel career as a musician and music mentor since 2004.
